OUR THREE-PRONGED APPROACH:
-
CREATE AWARENESS
Through education and awareness programs, we will help our communities better understand the physical and emotional challenges that people with mobility issues face each and every day.
We do this through social media outreach, community based events and speaking opportunities, all designed to raise awareness and understanding.
-
BUILD COMPASSION
By helping our communities identify and understand the challenges that mobility issues cause, we will build the necessary compassion that empowers and activates our communities to support the Mission for Mobility.
This will be done through participation and engagement in our events and advocacy campaigns, as well as through donating to help support our cause.
-
ADVOCATE FOR CHANGE
Leveraging the collective power of our communities, we will drive meaningful change to positively impact and elevate the lives of those who are challenged with mobility issues.
This will include a number of initiatives, from providing physical therapy equipment to our communities, to building a peer network to provide emotional support.
OUR CORE VALUES
-
COMPASSION
Compassion is most often defined as the feeling and reaction that arises when you are confronted with others’ experiences and you feel motivated to help those in need. We will strive to gain compassion within the communities we serve.
-
RESPECT
We will work hard to earn the respect of all of those that we work with, but more importantly, extend respect to all of those we serve, regardless of our differences. Respecting each other and our opinions will allow us to achieve progress and results.
-
ACCEPTANCE
Accepting new ideas and beliefs is critical to making the necessary changes around us. Through having an open mind, we will be more willing to listen to new perspectives. Without acceptance , we will never be able to make the change we seek.
-
GROWTH
We value growth in others and embrace one’s ability to learn, reflect, and change. In order to make a change, we must grow from our collective experiences. Growth gives us the ability to reconsider the status quo and cultivate new ideas.
